in New York City!
The awards will take place on April 21, 2012 at 8:30pm

ACE Awards began to be distributed in 1969, on the Madison Square Garden stage, the first winners being Miriam Colon, for her performance in "La Farsa del amor Compradito" Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre, and Oscar Garcia, who received an institutional recognition for his work as head of the group ADAL, now defunct. Since then ACE has conducted 43 annual award galas, without interruption.

Los Premios ACE de Teatro comenzaron a otorgarse en 1969, en el escenario del Madison Square Garden, siendo los primeros galardonados Miriam Colón, por su actuación en “La Farsa del Amor Compradito”, del Teatro Rodante Puertorriqueño, y Oscar García, quien recibió un reconocimiento institucional por su labor al frente de la agrupación ADAL, ya desaparecida.
